Abstract

After giving the periodontal tissues proper care, the clinician must be able to estimate force systems and manage tooth movement in order to close a gap. Frictional and frictionless mechanics are used to move orthodontic teeth during space closure. A detailed understanding of the clinical scenario and biomechanical concepts is necessary for choosing the right mechanics.
